Ordered directly from Amazon. Got here two days earlier than they said it would be. Packaged for maximum safety of my product. LOVE my laptop. Does everything I need it to. It only took me a couple days to get used to the smaller keyboard. I do hate the touch-pad though. I often have a hard time with those anyway, but this one is enhanced for some weird 'double finger' extra commands. This is inconvenient considering the size of the touch-pad makes it constantly think you're trying to use those 'clever' commands and will turn on auto scroll while you're trying to click on something. I found this easily solvable by buying a tiny retractable mouse for $7 at MicroCenter.
My Acer came with Windows Starter 7. I've tried 7 before and I really like it, so I was very excited to have it on my netbook. However, the 'starter' version was created with just enough features to get around and nothing else. You can't even change the background. It is very frustrating. If you go on their website to ask questions on how to change any of this it just 'recommends' that you upgrade to the full version for whatever fee. Since there is no disc drive to back up the netbook, I'm too afraid to change OS's to anything else :( -- Acer
As my title suggests- I spent $329 with free S&H and although I know patience usually perserves and I could've saved a bit more with new years sales etc... I am 1. Very in love with the portability and light weight and 2. The extra battery life is so nice to have when you've gotta get something done in a flash and just wanna whip out your 'puter and get to it! However my only gripe is that they could EASILY increase the harddrive because it does lag quite a bit and that's just no fun... so I'm back online to search for some RAM and write this review :] Oh amazon you great salesman you! -- I promised myself I wouldn't pay more than $250 for a NB ... but the battery life hooked me!
Great netbook for a great price. I upgraded it to 2GB of RAM and Windows 7 Home Premium and it runs great. Definitely worth it. -- Great Little Netbook
